first thing....wtf is your home page doing set as "http://ie.redirect.hp.com/svs/rdr?TYPE=3&tp=iehome&locale=EN_US&c=Q105&bd=pavili on&pf=desktop"

THAT is jacked....start up IE, go to tools>internet options and change that..to something...anydåmnthing (I use www.whatismyip.com )...HP is fekking EVIL...

since BS 'checks' with home upon startup (using IE) this may be the root of your problems

try that out, and report back

and....download AdAwareSE and Spybot Search & Destroy...install them...update them...and run them....
