Bearshare sending SPAM / UCE
 

Today I got again an email from <listadmin@freepeers.com>:
"Dear BearShare User, Thank you for using BearShare software. This is your last chance to purchase BearShare Pro at our special promotional price that we’re offering exclusively to our BearShare.net members only. [...]"

Please stop it. You have used my email adress I gave you on subscribing the Bearshare.net forums, I didnt allow to send me UCE (Unsolicited Commercial Email). I never asked to be a customer. This behaviour is really what makes me think twice before signing up on a forum. I couldn't even unsubscribe with the given link... please tell me I'm not subscribed to various spam lists now?

PS: You can't post as 'Unregistered' in this Bearshare forum. Everywhere else on Gnutellaforums.com you can post unregistered.

Not from bearshare.net, but I have general spam problems with my main account yet... I haven´t located the source yet!

i get the virus spam. if it wasnt such a long court proccess i would care to do some thing about it.

When have we ever sent email to BearShare.Net users? This was the FIRST and LAST time!

And you come and make a big deal about it.

Cool, thats very upright.

We made the offer to recognize the people who have been helpful with the newcomers and those who helped with our alpha and beta testing.

This is part of a new direction where we are trying the make the USER the customer (rather than the advertisers).
