Is there a way that a person on a VERY fast connection can be distinguished from somebody who is NOT
There are currently a lot of people out there who are playing there own little game and probably loving every minute of it !!! "So, my connection is a modem and I put down that it is a T3" .....clever stuff eh !!!????? ..... I wish I had thought of that one myself .... If I click on a T3 and see 0.5 kb/s racing towards my hard drive I think SOMEONE somewhere down the line has LIED !!!!! SORT IT OUT PLEASE .............................. Your comments as always are very welcome lenton |

Even a T3 connection has limited bandwidth... if several users share it its possible that you ONLY get 0,5 Kb!

The reported speed of sources is becoming less and less important for estimating how long it will take to get the file.
A better measure is the number of sources. FYI, BearShare reports the average throughput of completed uploads when it returns query hits, not what the user has entered. |
