Changing options on Bearware

I have recently downloaded Bearware to upload some files, but i may have entered the information incorrectly as im not able to upload. I have checked all the FAQ's and there is one pertaining to this. I have followed its instructions but it simply will not let me upload fiels.

Can i change my user options once i have downloaded so i can upload files?

secondly, is it possible to search a single user, and access only those files i have downloaded on this pc from another pc, wothout having to search all everyone elses files?

Any help greatly appreciated.
