I need help with something

for a while now when ever i try to start my bearshare free version the program does not even begin to run and this message comes up:


C:\dev\src500\gcore\library\GLibraryWatchDb.cpp (#170) Fatal Error: Unable to load library database.

Reason: Generic Failure

BearShare will automatically attempt to create a new database when it is restarted. Your old database files have been saved for possible diagnosis. Contact technical support for more information.

I trued emailing bearshare but that did not work so hopefully one of you can help, thank you.

I had the same problem. Try uninstallins B/S and reinstall. This time don't (unselect or deselect) all when setting up your library, leave it as default. If you want privacy then disable shareing and do not allow others to search your files. Good luck PB
