Can you fast forward in the previews, or the actual downloads or what?

I know this question sounds way lame, but can you fast-forward during the "previews", and downloads of songs? I know there is a little bar in the right hand corner of the program but is that the way...or is there even a way??? Please help, Thanks, CJ
