Just downloaded some MP3 music his afternoon and I would like to send one of these through MSN Messenger to a friend. I went into the file where it is stored "My Documents" and opened it but it is coming up on their end as a "Read Only" file. Could someone please be so kind as to walk me through the steps to enable me to forward it.

My apologies upfront, I'm not at all literate on this procedure.

The file should be mp3 and I am assuming that you have played it and it works.

In MSN you select Send File You get a browse window. Browse for the File and select it. That should be it. It will take a few minutes to transfer, depending on your connection speed, and you will see the progress in the message window. I did this a few days ago with no problem.
