Sorry to sound like a dummy

I can not get any of the music that I downloaded on free Bearshare (which was a trial.. which I did not know) becuase my friend had it and loves it... but he has the old version. Is there anyway I can get the old music (wma format) taht now will not play in any player (vlc, foobar, wmp, itunes or real player) to work???!!!! Conversion? I dunno... I am not the most computer savy person (duh) and I am so freaking frustrated.

Now I have to pay for Bearshare.. which... frankly ... is not going to happen.

My advice would be to get the older version of BS so you are not limited as to the types of audio files you can download or play. Have a look at the Stickies at the very top of the Bearshare sections of teh forums. I would advise by-passing the WMA format in future. Instead go for mp3/mp4/m4a formats.
