Help enhancing the quality of the shared files! I'd like to call upon every user of any Gnutella servent to help enhancing the quality of the shared files.
- Control the quality of the music you downloaded. Listen the songs before you put them in your upload directory. Delete them if you find incomplete songs or songs with prefixes and appendixes made by freaks or songs with scratches or missing parts.
- Never put your .temp directory on your shared directories list
- Don't put your download directory on the shared list neither. Check the files and copy the good ones in your shared directory.
- Rename the files correctly if you find incorrect filenames (wrong names, wrong authors/singers, wrong titles) or if you find filenames with hit-generators (long strings of characters which contain all of the most looked-for search strings like divx, sex, porn, britney, teen...)
It could also be possible that the music industry is trying to flood networks like gnutella with rotten quality files so that good files become harder to find and you'll end up buying the cd.
Less can be more, if the quality of the downloaded files is good, p2p will survive. Keep up the good work, tell your friends.
Best regards,
