since i installed limewire my internet connection is running at 10 kbps instead of the regular 26kbps even when lime wire is not running. i have since uninstalled lime wire. can anyone please help me

10 kbps???? normal dial up speed (for me anyways) is 45kbps 48 on a good day . if your speed is onley 26 kbps dont even bother with fileshare . at that speed its just more troble than its worth. i dont see why LW would do that ,especaly when its not running. it works fine for me . what os do you have ? also if you got LW from one of those scam sites they might have bundled somthing els into it and that could be whats causing troble.
