i have an ATI radion 9600se 128mb....it is a fairley top of the line card and handles every game i throw at it and will run the games in at least medium qualety. and for movies/desktop wiewing it works flawlessley.
if you are just doing business /text stuff with no games what so ever all you need is a 32 or 64mb vid card (reely cheep) if you do games a 128 mb card will be fine and should be sufficant for 95%of todays games(about 100-150$). but if you want somthing "future proof" or want to run games at like 2024x2500 or somthing resoulution you will want a 256mb high performance card (about 150$ for a lesser one up to like 600$ for the verry best) and most of the good cards are 4/8xagp some are even agppro i think and there are some verry good ones for PCI (the white slots). |
