Default Bogus movies

Every movie I have downloaded is crap!!! Is there any way I can find out if the movie is of good quality BEFORE I go through all the time downloading it then burning it to DVD.

I downloaded 'Meet The Fockers", Burned it onto a DVD, watched 1/2 of it, then it got all jumpy, pixel crazed, and then just froze.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated

1. Try previewing whilst downlding it. That will give you some idea of the file quality.

2. See Movie download issues

3. Learn to use Bitzi Lookup to find out reports about the file in question: How to use Bitzi Web Lookup ...

Thanks alot Lord of the Rings, I appreciate the quick feedback and help. These forums are seeming to be very helpful. (I am new to this LW stuff). I will read the posts in Download Issues, and check out this Bitzi rating place. I'm sure we'll be talking again.

Thanks a bunch!!

in the process of burning, do not , I repeat, "do not" browse or utilize the processor while the burn is taking place, you rob resources need to complete a successful burn. FYI

After downloading the movies I always play them all the way through to make sure they are playing correctly,Then always use a re writeable disk to burn on first, this way you can check out the burn and if there is anything wrong with the movie you can erase the disk.It will save ya a bundle. If you have Nero you can copy the movie from your disk to write again to another disk to keep. There is also the copyright protection as well some times the copyrights can keep you from getting a good quality copy.Another thing is the media you are purchasing,My computer is top of line and I cannot use memorex DVD+R DL 8.5 media for some reason, but Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5 burns perfectly, however I can use the memorex 4.7 without a problem. I can use Maxell,TDK,Verbatim etc... SO it could be the media you are using.Try a different type and see if that resolves the problem. Look for disks that are manufactured in Singapore,or Japan those are the best quality disks. This is based on info I received from Best Buy's technical guys, and they have not yet ever steered me wrong.
