Unhappy Pc crashing
Hello new to this just tried to install limewire everything ok then after 5 mins pc crashes any ideas anybody
Im using windows xp and im on aol

Hi dr1966

I'm no authority but I would contact the AOL people. They are pretty good about helping you. I've recently heard AOL has added a lot of bells and whistles to protect you from yourself and others (maybe a firewall??) The other option is get rid of AOL if there is an alternate IP available. I dumped them 4 years ago and never looked back. They try to be all things to all people and end up doing too much. Also, disable your Windows firewall. If you have two going that's one two many.

One important question: WHERE did you get Limewire from? It shouldnt crash your PC even if you have AOL for an ISP.

maybe you dont have enought RAM , or limwire is otherwize too much of a load for your PC.

what are the specs on your PC?

it could be anything it really hard to say , but try deleteing
it and downloading the whole thing again .
