 On micro$oft's site they did recommend against using more than one software firewall at one time. They have removed or moved that reference. But almost all FW companies say the same thing. Because it can result in less security not more. They can clash when run together.  |

| Yes I agree, router has integral FWall, two people who are far more ''up to speed'' than me(NOT HARD) I might add! recommended that it would be a good idea to re-enable windows FWall,(I also miss ZAlarm because I can deny some windows prog. like MPlayer updates,and access to net) I admit to being a little scared of just relying on router FWall, Do you advise not using windows FWall? Many thanks for answer so far, newbee2
