Man guilty of ex-Aurora gun club official’s death WHEATON — A DuPage County jury has found Terry Bratcher, 45, of West Chicago, guilty of first degree murder for his role in the 2009 murder of 82-year-old Carl Kuhn of unincorporated Bartlett. The six-person jury Friday also found Bratcher guilty of home invasion and armed robbery. Bratcher and co-defendant Keith Allen of Chicago are accused of going to Kuhn’s home on Aug. 21, 2009, to steal guns from Kuhn, an avid gun collector. A former attorney, Kuhn was active in the Aurora Sportsmen’s Club and the National Rifle Association for many years. At one point, Kuhn was a Sportsmen’s Club director and chairman of the education section. In 1995, he helped the club win the NRA’s Outstanding Club Award. Bratcher and Allen smothered Kuhn to death by forcing his head into a pillow on a bed. The men then stole 46 guns and collectable coins from the home, authorities said. Allen was sentenced last April to 46 years in prison after he plead guilty to one count of first degree murder. http://beaconnews.suntimes.com/7701209-417/man-guilty-of-ex-aurora-gun-club-officials-death.html
