| Well, not being a car owner I am not 100% sure but, from my ageing memory, I believe they use both, on the speedometer there is an outer ring of numbers, I presume MPH, and an inner ring, which I believe is KPH. However, I could be wrong and its the other way around.
One thing I do know, and that is petrol is sold per litre and not by the gallon, I guess that the cost is now so high that the price looks psychologically better in litres than in it does in gallons.
