I have had soo many problems with limewire. everytime i connect it disconnects within seconds. I can never find any of the files i am looking for and I am extremely frustrated.

Which version? How are you connected to the internet? Have you read the thread: "Why you can't connect"? Can you connect to router.limewire.com?

I am running the OSX version of limewire. I am connected to the internet through my school, and have never had problems with other versions of limewire or other gnutella programs. This is really rediculous. I can't even stay connected, ever. The oher version I was using on OS9 would stay connected(sometimes) but I could never find any of the files I was looking for. This was a while ago so I dont know how things have progressed over time, but it is obvious that they haven't. Something really needs to be done about this because i know that I am not the only one who is frustrated about the connection problems.

oh, - maybe connecting to whitedragon.dyndns.org would be a bad idea, I can't stay in ultrapeer-mode, - I have to download captain future episodes...

I've downloaded the version 2.3.4 and till now nothing has worked or got connected to.ive tried all optoons but dunno why its not working. getting tooooooo frustrating. it connect through a proxy server port 8080 and it does have a fire wall too.but how can i get through it now????????grrrrrrr
