Point 3 of course for you it's WireShare or LPE's settings. Ignore all lines after point #3 in the above linked-post. You go to LimeWire/WireShare's Settings > Advanced > Listening Ports. Choose Manual Port Forwarding and set the port the same as the one you port forwarded. Or do this in reverse order, first choose the port then set-up the port forwarding. But setting up a static internal port is a must do before you port forward the router.
The great thing about port forwarding is it's 100% reliable even for super long sessions. Whereas UPnP can fail after anywhere between a session lasting a couple days up to not much over a week, depending on how much traffic the program is receiving. |
