Question Is This Network Doomed?

Well I Guess We're all on the same page at this point.
The Message I Get is "Having trouble establishing a port connection. Please select a port form the configuration page".
Now The computer is set up on automatic with the four pre-selected ports already on the list. Shouldn't it be able to hook up using the default auto connect?

I loaded the program, went through the installation.......nothing.
Now what? I see this problem has been going on since October........is that right??????

Well if that's the case who's alright with LimeWire right now??
Anybody able to get this new package to work????

WHAT HAVE WE ALL DONE WRONG??

Curious???......you bet i am.

Treatid is flying high
Default

I /think/ that you may be confusing ports with connections.

I believe the the ports you need to reconfigure are under:

Tools|Options|Advanced

If you are behind a firewall then you are getting the error because your firewall is blocking the default gnutella port. Reconfigure LimeWire to use an available port or open up the port on your firewall.

I am happily using LimeWire at the moment.

I'm using the latest version.

There are many different problems that users have.
