![]() I've been using LW and LWPro for over a year now, and never had any significant problems. I just upgraded to the new Pro version yesterday, and now I get NO search results. I'm connected and sharing files (confirmed on the first screen), but nothing returns. Another problem is that my library no longer contains the individual file names of all my music. Just folders which open no further. I don't like this, boo-hoo. Any suggestions, other than re-install and try again? Pamela |

![]() No files showing up in your library is probably due to the hashing - LimeWire now creates a (nearly) unique identifier for each file. This has several benefits (and more coming) but it takes a while to hash each file - the files do not show up in your library until they are hashed. Wait (the hashing only needs to be done once per file). There's a small chance that the lack of search results is related to the hashing - but it shouldn't be. What do you see on your 'Connections' Tab? (You may have to enable the tab through 'View|Connections'). Mark |

![]() Thanks for your response, Mark. I noticed that it took a long time to add my files (587 of them) when I first installed. But, all that "hashing" should be finished by now. But still no file listing in my library - just folders with no individual files in them. As for connections, I have several up in 2.5.5 (6 right now - all ultrapeer) with lots of "messages" and 0% dropped. It's set for 6 connections and that's what I have. Does it need more? I'll admit I am something of a Gnutella dummy, but I've always managed to make this thing work before. Thank goodness I still have 2.4.4 on my computer - I've reverted back to that for now. Do port numbers have any relevance? I've always let the program set the default for me...just grasping here... I typed in "Elvis" and got nothing. Something is definitely amiss :-) Pamela |
