Java Exception when hitting Search button

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Here are a couple things you can try - easiest first.

If you have IE or Netscape running close them and try again. If that works go to control panel, double click the Java icon, select the browser tab and uncheck IE and Netscape.

If that didn't work, uninstall Java from the add / remove programs in Control Panel. Connect to the internet, start Limewire. It will advise you must have Java to operate and offer a link to download. Do as suggested and see if that corrects the issue. If not uninstall and reinstall Limewire.
