Version 2.4 works fine. The newest version available on the limewire page will never connect for me. I am on a network, my colleague has the same limewire and his works but mine won't. identical settings and all. Maybe it is my actual ethernet port. cause i have used two different computers in the same port and with both, 2.4 works fine still and 2.7 won't ever connect. I can force ip and all that and still nothing. but if i uninstall it and install 2.4 I am back in action. so then if i upgrade back up, it won't work. I am on a mac g4 dual 1ghz mirrored drive.

2.7 needs to access certain HTTP servers to get connected. Make sure LimeWire can make outgoing connections to port 80.

How do i know if it can connect to port 80? the only options are the listen to port and the force connect port and those are 6346. If my settings are identical to someone else on the same network, how does one work and not the other?
