No firewall tab? Ooops--I guess I forgot to ask you the most basic question: What is your OS? (Apple Menu->About this Computer). All my answers assumed you were running OSX (10.2.5) on the G3. [edit--why don't you just delete this thread and post your question in the Limewire Mac section, as Ursula originally suggested--look around and see which forum best fits your situation. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/forumd...p?s=&forumid=7 You can delete this thread by clicking on the edit button of your original post to see the delete option Cheers--stief |

oops also I understood from the start....i know a little about computer...just a little...hehe...well anyways thanx again....sorry for being a pest |
I think its alive I think I managed to get a connection...several...thanx to you mentioning the > 100 rule....Ive got a good connection and others to come. THANX AGAIN |
Glad it worked. btw--Not a pest--just trying to help figure out what's wrong. There are a lot of platforms, versions and expereince levels out there, so it's easy to guess wrong like the guess about the delete button being available in the original first post of the thread. For next time, sometimes the easy solution is to use the uninstall Limewire app, then use the Find command to search for anything "limew." This will catch the Limewire folder and also the LimeWire.plist in your library. These files are not removed by the uninstaller. Trash 'em, and download a fresh copy and reinstall. At least you'll be starting fresh. Cheers. Interesting about the >100 files! |
