I called AOL and they say that they do not block P2P sharing or the Gnutella network.

slyck.com has an interesting story regarding charter communications refusing to comply with RIAA subpoena to surrender customer information.

They claim they're the only cable provider that so far hasn't yielded to demands to reveal customer information.

RCN in New England is cool (fast asynchronous cable modem service).

Also, if you get it as a package with phone service (much better than Verizon, if RCN is available in your area), RCN is a really great deal.

1 (800) RING RCN

(Obligatory disclaimer: I don't work for RCN, I'm just a happy customer, and a permanent EX-customer of scuzzbag operator Verizon.)

NTC Communications (http://www.ntc-com.com) has a 3mb bandwidth cap for p2p applications, not to mention the most instable network experience I have ever experienced. They just can't seem to defeat the plethora of viruses that have spread this year.

Default SBC works great in CA

SBC DSL in California works great, they don't care what you do with your bandwidth...

All major broadband in Ontario support P2P at this point (including (as in quebec) cogeco, symptico, and rogers cable).

Try to change your Limewire port. They can´t block all of your ports.
