Question Does LAN affect connect?
I am using a LAN at my college. We connect using ethernet. Could that be why I can't connect to Limewire?

College's and company networks usually tend to block p2p filesharing traffic. Their firewall is probably set to block 6346 or something. Maybe you should try to connect to alternative ports...
