it appears we dont have a firewall......nuthings comin up, the only thing that came up was a link to a search for a firewall? should i download one or wat?

If you connecet to the internet via cable or dsl, you probably have a firewall, if you don't...
Well, there're a couple more tried and true little things. Try downloading the latest version of Limewire and see what happens. Totally delete the old one from your harddrive, including preferences. |

i think i delete everything but im not positive, the files i get rid of are, under add and remove programs i remove limewire then under my computer i go to program files, find the limewire folder then delete, ive done this many times....is there another folder?? and also the newest version is 3.58 is it not?

Yes, that's the newest main release.
Soon the latest 3.6.x main version should be out. The beta of that is just about done. |

as i mentioned on the first page i asked if i was deletin the preferences as u said i needed to dlete that also, so i explained everything i dleted and i was wonderin if i included the preferences?

Aha. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
I don't really do windows, so I'm not sure. A good bet would be to search for "lime" after you've "removed" (i think that's what it's called) Limewire. If anything "lime" comes up, delete it (unless of course, you have pictures of limes or something that doens't look limewire related). That should be a clean wipe, and then try installing the latest version of LW. |
