![]() I've tried everything I can think of, even disabled my firewall entirely, and still my Limewire is permanently stuck at the "Connecting.." stage. I checked on the hosts that it's trying to connect to, and none of them stay connected for any longer than five seconds. Help? Last edited by mooj21; February 22nd, 2004 at 02:39 PM. |

![]() Windows XP, Cable, newest versions of both java and LimeWire (just downloaded both today). I also have a Norton firewall, but I've configured it per instructions on the LimeWire site, and it shouldn't be a problem. |

![]() Try BearShare, www.bearshare.com If that doesn't work either, you can be sure whether the problem is on your side or not. |

![]() Same thing happens...connects for about five seconds then disconnects, then repeats that process until all connections time out. I disabled my firewall too, but that had no effect that I can tell. I never had trouble running Kazaa on here, but I got tired of all the ads and corrupted files, so this kind of appealed to me...any further ideas would be appreciated, otherwise thanks for trying. |
