I have OSX 10.3.2 on my eMac and until today Limewire was working GREAT. Then I got a prompt to upgrade from the latest version I had to v3.8.5 which I did and now I am back where I was last year with my old computer and an older version of Limewire..in Connection Hell. Now while I am downloading, the little guide box on the lower left of the screen goes from an Excellent connection to Good, to Fair..or Poor and then disconnects. I get a prompt, as many of you have, that I have been disconnected from the network...something about a firewall? which i don't even have....and advice to go up to FILE and hit connect..which I do and it reconnects...a la slowly. All the while the songs I am downloading are continuing to download. It's just aggravating If I want to keep searching while I download. I hadn't had this problem with the previous version of Limewire . So obviously the problem is a bug in the new version. Seems to be in the Mac as well as PC version because both types have been posted about. I have been through this SO often with Limewire in the past few years...I assure all you people out there the problem is not with your computer or you..it's a flaw in the application and until somebody..maybe a moderator ...notices that hundreds of people are wasting their time posting these complaints and getting no solution offered we just have to put up with it. It' a free application...you get what you pay for sometimes. I only wish I could get the old version back!!!!!oh well...if anyone knows anything more about this I would love to know it too!
