 Thanks for suggestion...but that didn't solve it. XP's own firewall is off (I rely on Norton) Install was from admin account Tried compat mode before (sorry, should have mentioned that) - neither Win2000 nor Win98 mode made any difference. Java version is pretty up to date - 1.4.2_03 - with plugin at same version. I checked also that user accounts get the same version as admin account. If I go to user account, right-click LimeWire, and 'Run as..' admin then it works - but then it has admin rights, which is what I'm tring to avoid. I looked at Norton logs and could not see any blocked conneciton or firewal restrictions happening when user execution of LimeWire happens - just stays 'Disconencted'. Is there some way I can have LimeWire tell me what is failing or being rejected? Thanks for the help.  |
