When I am running the new limewire program, I can not do anything else on line. My browsers will not connect.
Any help out there?

I am having the same problem and also my downloads have slowed to 2 or 3 Kbs when they used to go as high as 50 I think this happend when I upgraded my Java I dont know how to fix it

Now that I think about it, it started when I upgraded java too!
I wonder if you can downgrade java(lol)?

I seem to have fix my problem and I think this should help you stay with the upgrade or re-install

First open you control panel
then select other control panel options on the left of your screen
Then select Java Plug-in
Then click the Advanced tab on the top
Make sure that JRE 1.4.2_04 is selected
Then click Apply

That should help you

I am running Windows XP

Limwire Basic Version 4.0.5

I have been having a similar problem. If I have been browsing and THEN turn on Limewire, I can still browse the pages I have had already loaded however I cannot open any other sites.

I have tried the fix above however when I go into other control panel options, there is no Java option to click.

Can anyone advise?

oh, and just to add, this is a new computer I have just bought and I didn't have this problem at all on the old one.
