Unhappy Connection Option Not Available!

I just started to have this problem..Anyhow, evertime I start up LimeWire, it doesn't connect, even though I have the option "Connect on Startup" checked. Then I try to search for something, and it says this:

So, I follow what it says and I go to "File", but the word "Connect" is gray (I can't click on it..). So, now I don't know what to do..Here are my specs:

ISP: Libcom
LimeWire Version: 4.0.7

I don't think Libcom has a built-in firewall because I've been able to connect before without any problems using Libcom. And I did follow the LimeWire guide on how to allow Gnutella through Window XP's firewall.

Any help is really appreciated! Thanks!

You say you start up LW, but do you perchance have the option Start on system start up (under Advanced) enabled? If so, disable it.
Also, if Connect is greyed out then (normally) Disconnect should be available. If it is click that and the Connect should become available.

Post back (of course) if this wasn't helpful.

Oh, and Hobbes rules...
