Hello, yes, I recently got Lime wire beta version. I can't connect at all. I have a Sony Vaio XP-os, using LAN (1394 net adapter; Realtek RTL8139 Family PCI Fast Ethernet NIC) a college network. I have checked the firewalls on both and they are off. I also have did the test and it said " true." I have even tried to delete the preferences folder and start over. I have got so desparate to re-install the whole thing. I have reading these little forum for a minute and it still won't work. I have symantec antivirus corporate edition and I can't anywhere to disable a firewall in the software. Please help me out. I really heard some good things about this software. You can even email me back.

No I can't, sorry connections is not my speciality. I was just pointing out an issue that has affected others with norton products. Rather than wait, there's an encyclopedia of advice on this forum. All you have to do is look for it. Else ask LW support, they're paid for it. Yeah it's great software I've been using it very successfully for 3+ years, better than others I tried.
