College Dorm Room - No Connection!
I recently moved into my college dorm room, and now once I have my internet set up, I can't connect in Limewire. Also, my computer has no firewire.
I know other kids are using software like Kazaa, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks! -Chip

I have the same problem with my school! However, I can successfully use Kazaa .. why? HELP ME! PLEASE!

Kazaa must be using a different port that is allowed to recieve FTP messages by the college's firewall. Try configuring LW to listen to that port.

First, find out what port Kazaa is using. Then go to Tools, Options and look around in there. Just change the ports and click apply. (I'm too lazy/sleepy at the moment to give more precise directions, sorry)maybe tomorrow..

Well, if you'd read the rules, you'd know what info about your comp to post and I would know how to reply better: since (apparently) you must have Mac, so click Limewire, Preferences (or Options if you have OS 9).
