 Were did you dld LW from? The official site says clearly "no spyware". Ok, do you have any firewalls (XP has a built-in one)? I'm tempted to say Java again but I don't really see how it would be responsible for this... Try this strange indeed solution. If it doesn't work, dld the latest version and install, and if you already have it, dld the latest beta version and install.
