I just downloaded Aqua Limewire because I hear that it has no spy/ad-ware and Limewire does, so i figured id give it a try. Anyway, i can't connect with it. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. I have port 6346 open but it still doesnt work. I go to file>connect, and then the connection light turns on, but then shuts right back off again.


I also notcied that the searches take very long, find very little results, and dont download right. I always need more sources but cannot find them. Whatever does start to download takes very long, and it shouldn't because i have a Cable Connection.

Does anyone else have Aqualime? If so do you have these problems/know how to fix them? Thanks in advance

AquaLime is not maintained anymore and LimeWire stopped bundling adware in the free version. So try the latest version of LimeWire.

i found aqualime on my ares forum is it supported or even work

I'd recommend removing it. LW versions earlier than 4 & particularly earlier than 3 are detrimental to the gnutella network. They cause a lot of traffic for little results. Get rid of it for the benefit of everyone. It may be automatically banned by some gnutella programs ... but should definitely not be recommended or hosted anywhere.
