Connection problems

Connection Problems Problems getting the LimeWire or WireShare program connecting to the Gnutella network. (not about connecting to files, that is a Download/Upload Problems section issue.) Please supply system details as described in the forum rules.

Connection problems

Seems like I'm not the one with this problem, LimeWire seems to be a good program, well upto a couple of days ago. Now it seems to connect for a breif period and then LimeWire flashes up a error message "Your machine doesn't seem to have a active connection" which isn' the case. And now on those brief occassions it does maintain a connection it's extremely slow. It shows that it is downloading from a host at 0kb/s.....reminds me of Kazaa

. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- I'm running Xp Pro (disabled Xp's firewall)
- Dialup connection
- Sygate Firewall (which I've temporarily disable, to ensure it wasn't the problem)
- LimeWire the basic edition
