Everytime I open up LimeWare it says I am disconeccted. I click on connect but nothing happens. Can you help!!! Lord of the Rings: A few more details would help! What comp, OS version, firewalls, connection type, ram, java version, lw version, etc. Whilst you're at it, why don't you become a member so I don't feel as though I'm speaking to a ghost. 1stly: When LW is open, click Tools->Options & go to Bug report & click for an example. In the window that appears scroll down to the part that says: "Recieved incoming this session". If it says 'True' then LW has no problem with firewalls, if it says 'False' then you have a firewall prob. You cannot include any identifying info (Read the Forum Rules.) http://www.gnutellaforums.com/announ...?s=&forumid=29 Last edited by Lord of the Rings; October 8th, 2004 at 01:04 PM. |

Do you use windows? If yes, is that window 2000 or xp? When you start the computer up the windows operating system (OS) will display its version. What type of connection: is that a dial-up modem, adsl (broadband), or cable? Does it use wires to connect to your computer & to the wall or is it wireless? When you have opened Limewire (LW) under the Help menu select the bottom choice called About... and this will tell you which version of LW you have. Now we need to find out some information from your options settings.

As I suggested in my 1st post, go to Tools-Options & Bug Reports & click the View Example button. You will need to scroll up/down to find where it says: 'Received incoming for this session'. I need to know whether this says 'True' or 'False'. Please post back all your answers to the questions I have asked.
