OK probably before people may have had difficulty connecting to you althugh you could connect. Can you provide me the specifics of your set-up:
1. Modem & router brand & model no.'s 2. Where you are trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? 3. Java version? Can update here: http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_automatic.jsp for 1.4 or here for 1.5: http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp |

OK thanks. I'm not sure which router is yours (I think the 1st link) but follow the directions on the following link to forward a port on your Linksys router (use port 6346): http://portforward.com/linksys/befsr...forwarding.htm OR this one: http://portforward.com/linksys/befsr...forwarding.htm After doing that, you'll need to force ip in LW. Go to LW's menu Tools-Options-Advanced & Firewall. (Oh & make sure the Port options in Tools-Options Adv-Port is also set to 6346) See sample image below (must use same port as router):

Double-check all your settings. Make sure you saved all your settings for your router. Are you sure there's no other firewall, such as the Norton package or anything. If you did everything correctly it should work. And make sure the same port no. is opened on everything.
2. Where you are trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)? |
