OK. Here is the model number: BEFCMU10

You seem to have a newer model. I can't find specific instructions but it may be similar to another model. What you can do in the meantime is 2 very simple tests: 1. Test of Port 6346 which LW uses: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ If it says the test page was a success then that is not too bad. 2. Test for NAT blocking: http://www.u.arizona.edu/~trw/games/nat_or_not.php And it will tell you in a grey coloured box whether you are using a NAT device or not.

You may need to wait a little whilst I can find some advice on your particular model of modem.

The firs test was a success, it said "This test page was a success." However the seconed page did not seem to work. At the top of the screen were 2 red boxes, the top one read: "It appears that the server admin has turned off PHP preprocessing for some reason. This means that this page will no longer work as intended. If you see "<?=$REMOTE_ADDR?>" reported for remote address then this problem still has not been resolved. Sorry, but I am at the mercy of the server adminstrator." And there was not gray box on the screen.

Go there again, there should be at least something written under the red text. What does it say? If you can't even load the page up properly then that definitely means you have a nat issue or perhaps in combination with something else.

Here is everythingon the page.

Do I use NAT?

Until this is fixed, compare your local IP reported by this script with the IP reported from WhatIsMyIP.com, if they are different then you use NAT.

I couldn't make sense of the your text either-seems couldn't detect. But for me I got a proper response despite the warning in red text at the top. So follow what I've quoted & see what you get.

Why don't you become a member of the forum. At least then you'll get an email response when somebody answers your post. And many more options. Easier for you to contact other members or vice versa.

this is all screwed up, I am really Crash607 but when I regestered like you said it does not let me post under that name and i have to be logged out. And also i must have NAT because the websited gave me 2 differend ip addresses.

Crash607 November 28th, 2004 02:54 PM

ok nevermind i jsut forgot to activate it.

Crash607 November 29th, 2004 05:00 AM

O and btw I don't have a newer model because i have had it for about 3 years now. Mabey the reason you can't find info on it is because it is so old.
