i have tried everything on this forum to get my lw to connect and nothing is working for me. I have windows xp and i tried to delete the preferences and what not but nothing is working. I just bearly downloaded limewire so could somebody PLEASE help me

Can you give us a total desciption of your set up: 1. OS version, 2. What firewalls you have, 3. ram, 4. HDD space available, 5. Connection type, 6. Modem & router brand name & model numbers, 7. Where are you trying to connect from (home, school, work, etc.)?
These details are vital if you want us to find out what your connection problem is.

I have no idea what that OS thing is and i don't think i have any firewalls I have 256 mb of ram and i don't know what HDD space is i just have dial up internet and i am connecting from my house computer.
