I have had music downloads on now for 7 days, I can get most to download and others keep telling no connection or just sit there. I understand I am new to this, and would like to eventually purchase limewire pro, but at this rate, I am getting discouraged. Any help at all please. Have turned off firewalls, have latest Java update, have latest limewire and still nothing. Thank you.

First things first:
-the less files you have in the download list, the better: you only have limited bandwidth (even with broadband) and some of it is already used to connect to users and stuff like that. The rest is shared by any number of downloads that you may have active at that time. Also, here's a thing or two about the download statuses you may get: -Downloading: I don't think this needs explaining... -Complete: Maybe this one doesn't need an explanation either. -Need more sources: you get this when (for example) you started a download and the host that had the file logged off or something. I recommend you start another search for the same file and, of course, click the "Find more sources" (FMS for short)button. -Awaiting Sources: Ah yes. Many people hate this one. This one's pretty much the same as the previous one except that in this case LW has "given up" on the download (no FMS). You'll get it if you clicked FMS and LW failed to find more sources. The only way (or at least the way that I find most efficient) to clear this status and make it go back to the smile-inducing Downloading status is to start yet another search for the file in hopes of LW picking up some new source(s). -Checking: this is what you get after a download reaches 100%. After Checking, a download is Complete. There are chances that you'll also get weird statuses that say that you couldn't connect to host or something like that but I never got these so I won't tell you yet what they are. Just pray you never get them.
