Your experience with Insight is nothing new, whenever a company grows beyond a certain size they seem to think they can do no wrong, either that or they loose their knowledgeable staff and employ less knowledgeable ones that prefer to bluster rather than help with your problems.

You have done the right thing by taking your custom elsewhere, if Insight looses enough of their clientele they will certainly have to rethink their policy towards their customers.

Some companies have simply forgot that the customer is king.

I too am a Northern KY InsightBB user and have gotten the same response you have from John Bedinghause. They claim they aren't blocking, but I've seen too many postings here that say they are. Either they keep their front-line support people in the dark or train them to be good liars.

Insight sucks.

I like in NKY as well and had zoomtown up till last week!Limewire worked fine till I moved just out of the range of zoomtown and had to switch to Insight.As soon as I had service I tried lime wire and got no search results at all I can connect no problem though turbo charged everytime and people can download files from me and I can browse theirs and downlaod what i want.But for some reason search isn't working.Insight had to of changed something recently because I had their service not six months age and it worked fine.

And zoom town is a good deal and just as good a connection for the average user.I wish I could still use it.

fatbeard, i live in the NKY area also. its the insightbb end that is messing with the p2p connecting, im switching over to zoomtown so that i can get p2p back...

I'm new to NKy and Limewire. Using Insight can connectb but no search results. How come Bearshare works great though? Isn't it the same network?

That's b/c Insight seems to target specifically LW. I'd guess that they have a softw that can detect LW & filters it from working proplerly. Nice to hear BS works fine.

OK Thanks. I've tried every suggestion on here--no luck. Unfortunately, I can't get Zoomtown --- YET!!!I guess I'll just have to bitch 'til I can switch.
