i have downloaded lime wire 2 times and i get all the files but then when i click on the shortcut nothing happens i have already changed the fire wall settings. I am running Win XP

Actually I just had a 2nd thought. Short-cuts for windows don't always work very well. 1. Instead go to your Start menu & select LW from the Program list. If LW opens up ok then you know there's something wrong with the shortcut. 2. Else go to LW's folder in your programs folder & try opening it directly instead of using any form of shortcut (remembering that the Start menu also uses shortcuts.) In that case delete the shortcut & create another from LW both for the desktop & start menu folder.

What version of Java are you running. It seems some systems work better with the older version.
Check this thread out it has links to the old and new versions of Java. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...&highlight=JRE Uninstall which ever version you have and try the other version. |

I am running win xp sp1 my other computer is running win xp sp2. the computer with the sp2 downloaded limewire and everything started right up. What Gives. Answer to ?'s I tried everything even the limewire fix. Got any answers.
