I just joined and have not had any success downloading a music file. I am as green as they get and am overwhelmed with the forum search. I feel like I could spend a year trying to find out why it shows 3% progress and then stops. I also get the message 'need more sources'. I have never tried to download music from the internet before! Update I have tried to download a second file and it is working. But at it's current rate, it will take well over an hour. Is this normal?

It takes awhile to read the various forums here.

But yes it is normal to be downloading a file and have it stop.

You have to remember the hosts you are downloading from may have disconnected. If they are the only host with the file you want, you will have to wait for them to connect again.

Also you have to remember that your d/l speed is dependent on the hosts u/l speed. Not every has a fast dsl/cable connection. A lot of users just have dialup connections, and that is all they can get.
