I've had Limewire up and running for 6 months now, and just recently, everytime I try to connect, I get a message saying that my computer doesn't have an active internet connection or my firewall is blocking Limewire. I've tried almost everything, and I'm dying to know what the problem is. Plus, while I'm attempting a connection, I'm unable to connect with other programs, such as my web browser and AIM. Everything runs fine as long as I don't have Limewire open (even if it's disconnected).

Hmmm doesn't sound good about the school. Most of them block or filter p2p traffic. It is possible your school may have started doing this. I would suggest you contact your school network administrator and find out.
Also WindowsXP sp2 contains a firewall. Have you configured this to allow LW full access. This has to be done for both TCP and UDP connections. Maybe one of the other members or Mods. might have some other suggestions or ideas also. |

Hmm don't know. I've been searching and haven't found anything yet.
One of the other members or Mods may know. I did find this link though. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...ight=Zonealarm Don't know if it applies to your situation or not. |
