I can't get the lime wire to connect. I am pretty stupid and comp illiterate so I need step by step directions

Can someone help me

Computer type & CPU
HDD=Hard Disk Drive
RAM
LimeWire Version
Java Version
FireWalls
Modem Type & model no.
Router Type & model no.
Connection Type (Dialup,ADSL,DSL,Cable)
Who is your ISP=Internet Service Provider

I installed the newest free version for limewire

Do this simple test for us. Using your browser go here: http://www3.limewire.com:6346/ The page should say ‘Test Page was a Success’. What happens when you go there?

Do you have any firewalls?

I also went through and did the configuration of the Norton Internet shown in the above thread. I permitted all the limewire.

I restarted it after I did the change and IT WORKS!!!
