I can't connect
I have windows XP. The version of limewire is 4.8.1 and have java version 1.4.2_06. I have Mcafe firewall. I've tried deleting the .limewire folder, but that didn't help. I tried setting my firewall and that didn't help. I used to connect just fine 2weeks ago, and now I'm unable to connect. It just says "connecting" the whole time.

Do you mean version 4 or 5, I'm not sure. But I think most links given have been in ref to using version 5. As far as which proxy address ... try as many as you can until you find one that works. They won't all work!
