Havent been able to connect for a few days, help please

Hey, so it hasnt connected for the past few days
Im running the old version on mac OS classic, but i heard that it hasnt connect for the past few days for other people too even on newer windows xp systems and such. Ive been using it for at least a year or 2, and its never failed me like this, i never put up a fire wall or anything, i didnt change anything, one min it worked, the next it didnt.
It just says connecting in the connection window to all the servers but never does.
I ran the Shields up test i saw in another post and it said closed...what does this mean?
Is this the end of limewire? i hope not cause i cant find anything else to good for Mac OS 8.5

Do you have the latest 4.0.10 for classic? Trash your preferences folder, then reinstall LW. Also, only people with problems come here, 99% of people connect no problems (I'm able to connect behind router and at university network, so... )

Yea last night i reinstalled the new version(latest)
It still wont connect
I basically trashed everything after a while and redownloaded it reinstalled it i even trashed my incomplete folder, it made a new one and it still wont connect.
