I just downloaded and installed the latest version and it was working fine, but ever since I restarted my computer, I double click the shortcut and nothing comes up. I tried restarting again, and reinstalling it, but still nothing...wtf?

I have a similar problem on Linux/PPC
I removed ~/.limewire, downloaded limewire 4.8.1 and started it using ./runLime.sh. The first time I did it it did not work. The second time LimeWire came up and let me d/l some files. After some time I closed it while some files were still downloading. Now I can't start it again. All I get is this Code:
~/LimeWire-4.8.1$ ./runLime.sh Starting LimeWire... Java exec found in PATH. Verifying... Suitable java version found [java = 1.4.2] Configuring environment... Loading LimeWire: Code:
$ java -version java version "1.4.2" Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.2) Classic VM (build 1.4.2, J2RE 1.4.2 IBM build cxppc321420-20040626 (JIT enabled: jitc)) |

Try re-installing Java. Downld the Java installer program & save it to your computer (don't install over the net!)
If this doesn't work then delete your LW preferences folder called .limewire: Fixes for Limewire A link to Java can also be found there. For Linux it's found here: ~/.limewire I don't know which version of Java Linux uses or where to get it ... I'm sure you know better than me! lol
