Post connection w/ and w/out f'wall

folks,
once i tried connect LW with firewall and serach, i found some hosts with ip 192.168.*, u know.. just like LAN ips.
but those won't come up when i tried connect with firewall.

the question is, does the firewall decrease the search results ??

i use XP sp1 and winroute as the firewall.

thx anyway

Did you configure your firewall so it allows LW full access (advisable not to have 2 active firewalls b/c they can interfere with each other); Firewall configuration instructions (click on link) Remember Win XP has its own firewall. To disable XP's firewall: go to the control panel, double click on Windoze Firewall, check the disable box.

Do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is the result True/False? If false then you have a firewall that's not properly configured or some other device that needs a port to be opened to give LW full access.

Yes! I have configured my firewall. i've opened port 6346-6350 which needed by LW. and i also have shut down the XP's firewall.
i can connect LW with firewall, but the search result seems decreased cause i can't found host with ip 192.168.*

True incoming sounds good. But why you can't reach those addresses has got me stumped. After some quick research, the Kerio firewall has some strict rules. http://www.deerfield.com/products/winroute-firewall/ or
http://www.deerfield.com/products/wi...ent_filtering/ etc.
Also http://www.webhostingtalk.com/archiv.../392997-1.html & "blocking and logging of P2P traffic is now more accurate" 6.0.9: http://www.deerfield.com/support/win.../releasenotes/
I presume your version is up to date.
"P2P Eliminator - blocking of P2P clients": http://winfuture.de/news,14847.html

Apparently you can define ip blocks within your firewall. Have you checked this option. YOu can configure which ones are blocked yourself. AFAIK or can gather from the above.

Have you tried swapping the firewalls around? Just as a trial, try the XP firewall instead. This is probably not what you'd prefer in the end though.
